Indonesia: Bhinneka Tunggal Ika
This illustration was commissioned for t-shirts and merchandise design. The concept was "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" or "unity in diversity", a phrase that represents Indonesia. As Indonesia consists of thousands of islands and hundreds of cultures, it is really hard for me to choose which cultures or symbols that will be included in the drawing. Hence, I took some representatives from Indonesia's five big islands: Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan (Borneo), Sulawesi, and Papua.
