This sculpture relates to the concept of the multiple and how people perceive certain things in different ways in relation to their background and beliefs. The bronze cast baobab tree embedded in the freeform wood has an intricate pattern of five ambiguous shapes on top. Each of these five patterns were transferred onto a piece of sheet copper in the exact shape as on the tree. The five floating pieces can be joined together to form the same unified shape as on top of the baobab tree.
