Our goal for this typography project was to take the script of our favorite movie and use the design and typography (with very limited illlustrations) to convey the plot, message and mood of our movie. This was an extremely fun project to create. My chosen movie was Brick (2005). I chose to use a black and white format, since the movie is rather stark in style and has a grimy, dark feel. Additionally, it's a modern film-noir, so it fit well. The book had to feel like a book and have consistency, but be able to convey the climax and other points of interest in the story visually. Mine ended up being 215 pages long, 9x6", which included cover pages, cast, colophon, etc. It was wire-bound and printed on 32 lb. text.
