Poster XXVII Caporales Festival 2023
The event takes place annually for more than 25 years in Stockholm, Sweden, it is a competition of Caporales - traditional Bolivian dance. I was hired to develop a poster for printing and distribution and a post for social media.
The concept aimed to create a happy art that would bring all the fun that the practice of dancing provides, a couple of dancers wearing the typical clothing as well as representing the place where the competition will take place.
Firstly, we defined through conversations and drafts how the layout of the elements on the poster would be. It was defined that the couple would be in the center, with a band on the sides and the background location in the center.
First came the drawing of the couple, as it would be the main part of the illustration.
After the couple's layout was approved, it was time to build the scenery.
The background had some variations on the original idea, other city structures were added and the band was replaced by an audience watching the couple dance.
