The era before technology is a time when I wanted to be born, the techniques they developed and the ideas that came through just makes me speechless. When I learnt about the Pinhole camera, I was fascinated by the fact that a simple box with a hole can give me a perfect image, it was like love at first sight.

My work revolves around the idea of manipulating images, mainly landscapes, to create almost theatrical/surreal pieces. It’s all drawing with light, but in very different ways. I approached this idea of curving buildings through the angle of which I place my photographic paper in my camera.

Building new cameras became a hobby, I really wanted to understand and discover what are the possible parameters and outcomes. I used material such as foam-core boards and foam boards to make my cameras, because these materials allowed me to manipulate them to their fullest extremes.
