This work was an experimental exercise. I didn't set out to make a beautiful drawing. Nor did I set out to be suggestive.
Lying on a huge canvas with pieces of charcoal clamped to my hands, feet and head I began this exhausting routine. The coal was the tool that left the trail, I was the engine.
What was the consequence of my action? Well, the drawing. My passing over the paper respectively the material immortalization of the trace where the body once was.
Part dance and part performance art, kinetic drawings are a way of combining a passion for visual art as well as dance into a unified art.
At the same time, it's a middle ground because I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and I think this show was a result of that. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and I chose this method.
