I collected data on my everyday life for three months, starting from 1st December 2013 to 28th February 2014. I noted down things like;
. What time I got up in the morning and what time did I go to sleep.
. How many drinks did I have that day.
. How many steps did I take.
. How many drinks did I have that day.
. How many steps did I take.
. How many calories did I burn.
. How long did I spend walking.
. Who did I see the most of that week.
. How many photographs did I take that month.
The list of questions goes on and on, after three months I had a hugh amount of data. At the end of my data collection I worked hard to sort it out - spending time to make sure I have the correct figure and overall data.
While collecting the data over those three months, I spent a hugh amount of time researching into data visualisation and what it's all about. I got my main inspiration from a man called Nicholas Feltron, he collects data on himself every year. With that data he then creates his own data report books.
This is how I came to creating my own book, I feel as if it's easy on the eye and something great to look at. It's something you don't need to read from cover to cover - opening it at a random page, coming away with more interesting facts.
I feel creating this report/book, will encourage others to look into their own daily lives.
