Tie is designed for human and their deceased pets. Tie is a siphon plant pot. The upper part is used for mixing ashes and soil, and grow a new life. The lower part is a planter plate which water can be filled to keep nourishing our beloved pets.

「繫」為人類及他們離世的寵物而設計，是一款虹吸式盆栽，上方用作混合寵物骨灰與介質栽種新生命，下方部分作水盤使用，通過加水繼續滋養我們心愛的寵物。

Background | how to deal with the sorrow of loss ?

For most of us, pets are considered as family members just like children. However, their lives are much shorter than ours. When our pets pass away, many of us may be the first time to experience death.

By applying the TEAR Model of Grief, Tie is the assistant accompanying everyone of us facing each stage: from the purchase to mixing our beloved pet with soil; then grow a plant with our own hands; finally, take care of our plants, continuing to nurture the new life with the nutrients of our love.

對現今大多數人而言，寵物就像孩子一樣是家庭成員之一，然而他們的生命卻比人類成員短暫太多，寵物離開的時候很多人可能才第一次經歷死亡，能夠正確的面對死亡處理失去愛寵的悲傷變得很重要。

通過運用TEAR Model of Grief，「繫」希望在飼主面對每個階段時都能得到協助：從最初購買Tie；到親自混合愛寵與土壤愛寵與土壤；再種下植物；最後悉心照料，繼續養育這個帶著愛寵養分的新生命。

Inspiration

The design of Tie is inspired by the way our pets look when eating. The cotton in the middle looks like the tongue of our pets, symbolizing the connection between humans and pets, just like an umbilical cord tying us together. When adding water to the planter plate, it is like feeding our pets in our familiar way.

「繫」的設計靈感源自於寵物們吃東西時的模樣。中間的棉線看起來就像是寵物的舌頭，象徵人類與寵物們的連結，如同臍帶一般彼此繫在一起。從下方加水照料植物時就好像在用熟悉的方式餵養著我們的愛寵。
