Minisode2: Thursday’s Child – released May 9th 2022 – comes riddled with heartbreak. It comes at exactly the right time in their evolutionary journey: At some point, idealism has to turn into practicality, first love has to beget first heartbreaks, and the foundations of your belief need to be shaken up before you decide who you want to be.
This helplessness and disappointment becomes the central theme of Minisode2: Thursday’s Child. Gone are the group’s rose-tinted glasses – as their perceptions and ideals lay in shambles, TXT are taking a step back and reevaluating the trajectory of the boy who believed in dreams and magic.
In Minisode2: Thursday’s Child, the experience of a first breakup strike as a powerful storm mixed with denial, dejection, anger, and loss. Our protagonist fully indulges in and expresses each of these emotions as they come, until he is finally able to accept that his once treasured relationship has come to an end. Moving from adolescence to adulthood, the boy comes to better understand both himself and the world around him. Then, a question arises: on what path of growth will his feet lead him next?
