The apartment is located in the very center of St. Petersburg, at the intersection of Nevsky Prospekt and Karavannaya Street. Surrounded by historical monuments and unique architecture.
K11 is a collaboration of restorers, designers and builders.
In the planning solution, the location of the doors was changed by drawing an axis along the entire apartment.
We got rid of the narrow corridor typical for such apartments. With the doors open, you can view all the rooms, enjoying a large space with high ceilings and sunlight.
The bathroom was moved to the place of the corridor and kitchen.
In the interior design, we used a calm light palette with warm shades of natural wood and marble. Bright dark elements contrast against a white background.
The calm, almost monochrome atmosphere is diluted with modern decorative elements, lighting and furniture of famous factories.
The kitchen is made to order according to the sketches of the authors.
The house, built in 1780, faced many difficulties and surprises, but the more interesting the task of transforming the space became.
Engineering-technical and chemical-technological studies were carried out. Inspection of load-bearing structures and floors. A method of restoration has been compiled and a number of works have been carried out taking it into account.
Restoration of windows is a difficult, painstaking and expensive stage. The return of the original look to the frames, sashes and fittings took quite a long time. The cremons and latches were cleaned and covered with a protective compound.
The parquet floors were badly damaged. We decided to leave the remaining parts and replace the lost ones. The biggest difficulty is to get into the tone of the existing parquet and find a suitable tree, correctly connect all the elements.
The oven was restored. The old furnace was replaced with a modern fireproof one. Partially replaced the lost tile. Lighting a fireplace has become a pleasant tradition for customers.
The ceiling moldings have been preserved. The arches and ceiling sockets were restored.
A lot of work was carried out by the builders to replace outdated communications and equipment.
