UNIVERSITY PROJECT
WEEK 1
Friday 27th January
INTRODUCTION
Today, we was Read through the Unit Brief and highlighted key areas that we will need to pay attention to for when doing this unit. we were going through some of our tasks that we will be doing for the next two weeks, but also what the final outcome will be and look like. We then went through photographers, and looked at what they work on and the techniques thats is used. Once done the tutors went round the room to see if there is any ideas we had in mind or interested in from what we went through.
FILL FLASH
Fill Flash is a technique used to brighten a subject with a flash when the main subject is underexposed, due to a strong back light.

LANDSCAPE IMAGE
Landscape photography is the art of capturing pictures of nature and the outdoors in a way that brings your viewer into the scene.

HIGH-KEY
High-key lighting is a style of lighting for film, television, or photography that aims to reduce the lighting ratio present in the scene.

WILLY VANDERPERRE
Willy Vanderperre born and raised in Belgium the photographers interest is fashion photography. Vanderperre has worked with magazines including Love, W Magazine, Another, Another Man, Vogue Hommes International and American Vogue. Most of his work is studio but, he also does his shoot for runways, flash is used within his imagery to brighten the model. The image he creates is digital photos, this is shown by a particular amount of pixels or dots displayed on a screen in each digital image. The model that is in the image is Rihanna who is a musician, the pose that she is placed in is allowing her to show her face towards the audience, with no eye-contact, drawing your attention.
The image is composed by converting a photograph to black & white which can be a very effective method of simplifying your composition. In some ways, colour itself can be a distraction, the black & white photography often allows us to focus on the textures, light, shadows, and shapes in the frame. The rule of odds makes the image more visually appealing if there are an odd number of subjects. Using a shallow depth of field to isolate your subject is a very effective way of simplifying your composition. It is often said that ‘less is more’. Simplicity taking photos with uncomplicated backgrounds that don’t distract from the main subject is the best way to get people to look at that one focal point. The image created was clear and everything was in focus, the tones that are in the image was split tones in black & white photography. They have made it unsaturated, creating the photos to be black & white, the image is very clear but you can also tell that they have edited it by looking at the skin texture, showing the grains.
The image does draw my attention a lot, I like how the attention goes onto her face, showing a serious expression, looking away from the camera just below it. It is simplistic but very affective, the black and white makes it even more better showing more details in the frame enhancing textures throughout.

LOW-KEY
Consist of shooting dark coloured scenes by lowering or dimming the key or front light illuminating the scene, and emphasising natural or artificial light only on specific areas in the frame.

NADAV KANDER
Nadav Kander was born in Israel and works in London doing portraiture and landscape photography. His work is in many places a few examples would be National Portrait Gallery, London, UK; Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago, USA; Marta Herford Museum, Germany; Sheldon Museum, Lincoln, USA; The Frank-Suss Collection, London, New York and Hong Kong; and Statoil Collection, Norway. He likes creating large-format photography, most of his work is located in the studio using flash, flash is always being used when he creates dramatic use of flash. The camera that has been used is digital, the digital photographs are stored on a memory card, and their resolution is measured in megapixels.
The bold shapes of the face/ head stands out from the dark background because of the use of one light source. which, makes it look more dramatic. The images have a soft focus but also, blurred in certain areas of the image to get a focus point which is only facial features. Filling the frame with your subject, leaving little or no space around it can be very effective in certain situations. The black and white image is a great way of tonal range, including true black and white tones in the photograph, and works towards a variety of grey shades. The image functions as both a warm and cold colour, in both images there are textures that show the skin or of the fabric that shows.
The image caught my attention by how it was done, the idea of turning your model towards the light to create that outline affect, creating more of an angelic look of the image. The part that they want people to look at is highlighted with lighting and the rest is negative space turned into a dark background for it to not be seen as much.

ELINA BROTHERUS
Elina Brotherus lives and works in Helsinki, Finland and Avallon, France. Her work is her photography where she alternates work between autobiographical and an art-historical approach. Her work is mainly self-portraits that searches the relationship of individuals and space, both in relation to interior and landscapes. Elina Brotherus's work is featured in many places a few are, gb agency, Paris Martin Asbaek Gallery, Copenhagen camera oscura galeria de arte, Ma. Her work is also in public places including Paris, Kiasma Museim of contemporary art, Helsinki, Rome and many more. The camera she uses is a medium format, shooting on location with natural lighting throughout. She always places her subject in the centre of the image to create a symmetrical scene she also uses in composition colour and tones, giving you a main colour which is on the model as her clothing for you too recognise and look at first, catching your attention.  Leaving a lot of empty or ‘negative’ space around your subject can be very attractive. She creates both warm tone with red ,orange, and yellow and cool tones like blues and purples to overcast days in different seasons. Her images are edited to look like a painting creating a texture that creates a canvas, showing grains in the photos.
Her work has caught my attention based off it being very clear and painting like. It is very different to other photographers. I like the meaning towards her work, which is seasonal based, using those colours to create an amazing piece, overlooking the scenic environment.

IDEAS
When going through this for the lesson, ideas started to Pop in my head for what I'm going to do for this. I started to write up all the ideas in my notes and do research on them to help me further push that idea for an outcome i want to create.
FILL FLASH - COUPLES SHOOT
I wanted to create a couples shoot as i thought it would be really cute. I wanted to have photos of different assignments with different emotions.
DRAMATIC USE OF FLASH
The dramatic use of flash i want to create is by using hats to create an outline. I think this is good because i can do many things with this. I also want to edit the photos in many different ways, showing my abilities.
JOVANA RIKALO
Jovana Rikalo is a photographer based in Serbia, who creates fine art photography. Her work is featured on Digital SLR Magazine, Adobe, Practical Photography Magazine, Digital Photo Magazine, Bella Grace, Faerie Magazine. Her work she produces is on location, it can be with or without flash based on the idea she creates. The camera that has been used is digital, i know this because of the resolution is measured in megapixels. The model that was in the photos are posed both elegant, looking away to look like they are wondering, looking more like a fairytale. The composition that was used in this is colour and tones and the depth of the photos with both of these compositions it has given the photos a fairytale look. As if it could have been created in a cinderella book. All the photos that was taken is very clear in focus, and some parts were blurred, they are more focusing on the model with the dress. The rule of odds is more visually appealing if there are an odd number of subjects. An odd number of elements is seen as more natural and easier on the eye. The tones that are in the photos are mid-tones these are neither shadows or highlights but rather a middle value of luminance. In her work, cool colours are shown the colours that are include in that is green, blue, and violet. The cool colours, are more usually more subdued and gentle. The photos are slightly edited by contrasting it a little bit to allow the colours to be more dominant but, what is also helping is the texture making the contrast more effective.
The photos that i chose for Rikalo are ideas i want to go into with my own work and create this kind of theme. I like it since it is quite simple but what makes it better is what the background shows and the planning of choosing what the model wheres to have that centre of attention, the main focus. How this would improve or use in my work is that i want to creates something like this for my flash on location, by using the flash it lets me edit it to something either more like an evil queen or more gracious and light, like a fairy.

Jovana Rikalo - Fairytale is life you are living
FLASH ON LOCATION - St Dunstan in the East Church Garden
This is something i have thought of doing for awhile creating a fantasy, wonderland type photo, with the dress and the lighting. I am going to try and creating different light source to create certain emotions. Whether it is evil queen or a princess.
TERRENCE DRYSDALE
Terrence Drysdale is a New York city native, based in Tampa, Florida, who is a professional portrait, fine art, and fashion photographer. His work is featured in Conde Nast Traveler, Google, Lonely Planet, and Adobe. His work is shot on location and approaches his work by using natural lighting. He uses a digital camera but what creates his photos is the edits that he does on his photos. The way his model poses is very elegant and soft, creating that fairy tale theme. The composition in his work is both depth showing both foreground, middle-ground, and background having the whole photo have focus eye prioritise, and angles created makes the model look really small to show more of the landscape. He makes his work very clear throughout the photos, with all of it in focus. Leaving a lot of empty or ‘negative’ space around your subject can be very attractive. It creates a sense of simplicity and minimalism. The tones that are in the photos are Shadows are the darker areas of the image that still maintain detail and Highlights are the bright areas within a photo that still maintain detail. The colours that was produced is highly saturated with both warm and cold tones depending on what shoot he did that day. The edits that he does on his work enhances the colours and also creates his photos to look more like it's from a fairy tale. Within all the photos it shows you textures based off the environment they are in like, mountains, waterfall, bark, and rocks.
I like Terrence Drysdale work, it catches my eye it is a reminiscent of fairy tales. It looks like the subject is searching for something. All his photos gives a graceful style, understated style has become his signature work. How i would add this in my own work is based on the edits giving it more contrast, adding more saturation.

LIZZY GADD
Lizzy Gadd is from British Columbia, Canada, but now based wherever my suitcase happens to be, she is a self-portrait landscape photographer. She is in partnership with Sony and her past clients were Air New Zealand, Wanaka Tourism, Vanguard World, NEMO Equipment, Les Grands Ballets, Daily Mail, The Telegraph, PHOTO News Magazine, Canadian Geographic Magazine, Practical Photography Magazine and ect. The camera that is being used is a Sony so digital photo is whats being produced. within shooting for a location shoot, there is no flash that is being used only natural lighting. The model that is used is herself, posing based on where she will take her photos. The composition that is in the photos is depth and rule of thirds, so the depth is foreground, middle ground, and background are all a main focus, but what makes the model the focal point is that she always wears a red dress no matter what environment is. And the rule of thirds based on where the model is placed in the grid. In the photos, the foreground is in focus and the background is a little out of focus to have the model stand out. Leaving a lot of empty or ‘negative’ space around your subject can be very attractive, you can see that the main subject is obviously the model. The rule of odds suggests that an image is more visually appealing if there are an odd number of subjects. This shows by the photographer having one subject as the focal centre.
The tones that is used is shadow which is the darker areas of the image that still maintain detail. Mid-tones are the least contrasty area of the tonal range. They’re neutral tones and in photos show up as medium greyThe last image has a green tone which has a meaning green is the colour of harmony. It tends to make people feel refreshed. The colours that is used is cool tones to create the feel of the photo making it more dramatic and mysterious. The colour red can symbolise many emotions, like health, war, courage, anger, and love. wearing a red dress it can show a different emotion based off the surrounds that gets shown around her. The texture that are in the photo is based of the environment visual depiction of variations in the colour, shape, and depth of an object’s surface, giving the photo more of a dramatic effect.
This photographers work is outstanding and it is very intriguing. i Love how the women always stays in red, but more so i love where they go, the places are amazing. It is very simple, they all have a lot of depth that plays into the the imagery.

PORTRAIT ON LANDSCAPE
KAI HORNUNG
Kai Hornung is based in Hanover, Germany, who creates landscape and fine art photography. He has work with many companies, these are some of them
f-stop (global brand ambassador), THE HEAT COMPANY (supported by)
Haida (global), Haida Deutschland, Chip Foto Video, Allianz Deutschland, Squarespace, Niedersachsen Tourismus, Elements Magazine, Condé Nast, H&Y, Xencelabs, Amber Lotus, Hotel Icaro, Visit Faroe Islands, Sirui, CampEasy, Lotus Car Rental, Roadsurfer, Norlandia, Kuku Campers, 5DayDeal. The camera that he mainly uses is his sony camera which is why the photos are digital photos. His work is done throughout locations with just the use of natural lighting, with sunsets and sunrises, creating an amazing lighting throughout photos of the landscapes. In his work, there is no model just the picturesque landscapes he travels too and explores around to find the perfect angles and shots for his work.
The composition that is in the photo is is showing three trees that are evenly spaced out which is call the rule of odds. The other was balance symmetry where everything in the photo is the same when doing so you can split the page in half and it will be symmetrical on both sides. As well as, including some foreground interest in a scene is a great way of adding a sense of depth to the scene, giving it a more 3D feel to it.The photo is very clear, every detail is shown in the photo, capturing the amazing The tones that are in the photos is mid-tones there are neither shadows or highlights but rather a middle value of luminance. The colours that are within the photos are cool and warm tone colours because of the place he was at he makes sure he captures the type of colours that are at that specific place. I don't think there was much editing in the photos because of how the quality of the photo that was shot had the right settings as was taken well. In the photo, we the textures that is in the photo is the textures of the environment like leaves and ice mountains, texture give the photo more detail but also based of landscape photos it is likely to be shown in these types of photo. A tripod is being used to reduce camera shake when you photograph textures.
These photos has caught my eyes, they are very intriguing. I love the angles that he shoots his photos at, based of what the scene is whether straight on or below shot. It gives the photo more depth and meaning to what he is trying to express within his photos.

LANDSCAPE IMAGE- IRELAND
I wanted to do this because it was a place that i wanted to explore since i always visit Ireland. It is an extraordinary place that my mum mentioned to me since she has been in that area. I thought it would be the best place to get a shoot of creating landscape images that are self explanatory to those who see it.
WEEK 2
Friday 3rd January
This week, i was not in but it was a workshop showing how to do a dramatic effect of flash in the studio. I received photos from my friends in the class showing what was used and how it was done.
WEEK 3
Friday 10th February
In todays lesson, we had a guest speaker who spoke about what he does and the work he created. He also spoke about his journey on how he became a successful photographer, and his dream came true.

ARIA SHAHROKHSHAHI
Aria Shahrokhshahi is a British-Iranian photographer and filmmaker. He represent Object & Animals. His work is all based on location with natural lighting around impoverished places. The camera that he uses is digital, you can tell by the intensity or grey level that is an output and the pixels it uses. The models that are in his work are people of candid shoots that he took there is no planned poses since he got natural stances. focusing on a variety of diverse communities and the way people interact inside them. The human condition, power dynamics that inform our existence. vision is shaped by my love for the abstract. The backgrounds are out of focus but the main focus points are clear for you to see.
The composition that was within the photos are They are visually attractive and suggest harmony. Converting a photo to black and white can be a very effective method of simplifying your composition. Black and white photography often allows us to focus on the textures, light, shadows, and shapes in the frame, the scattered smoke in one of the photos below looks more dramatic. Isolating the subject is using a shallow depth of field to isolate your subject is a very effective way, having the the background be blur it is very useful for when shooting portraits. He shot from below, getting down low or up high can be a great way of capturing a point of view that is more dynamic or interesting. The tones that are used is correct exposure, all tones are correctly exposed with no blown out highlights or lost detail in the darkest area of the image. The mid-tones, are the least contrasty area of the tonal range. They’re the neutral tones in the photos showing up as medium grey. The neutral tones is where the photo is neither dark nor clear. It is the balanced tone within. One photo has the warm colours and the other has the cool colours based off the type of photos it is and the colouration within the frame. Both photos has textured features which would be the surroundings that they are around and what shows as the background, giving the photo more contrast.
The photos are amazing i like how they all tell a story by just looking at them without having to look at the information on the photo.

I was given feedback on some of my own work from Aria Shahrokhshahi to see what i need to do to make my work even better. I was given that he could see what type of photography i want to get in too and what my abilities are and that i should always do more when i have free time even he does it, since it is a way of improving your work and experiment on new ideas. Below he gave me an artist that is similar to what my work is like, showing how she displays her work and what types of photography of which is people, place, and objects.

ALYS TOMLINSON
Alys Tomlinson grew up in Brighton but is now based in London, is an editorial and fine art documentary photographer. Her work is featured on many things this includes 3 Monkeys Communications, Action for Children, Agile Media, Apps For Good, Airbnb, ARK Schools, Attic Media, August Media, Barton Willmore, Baxter and Bailey, BBC, Bloomsbury Publishing, Bompas and Parr, Brand Communications UK, Brickworks London, BusbyWebb and many more. But, they are represented by HackelBury Fine Art. The photographer is always shot on location whether it is landscape shots, or of a model with the background blurred, with the use of natural lighting shining in the photo. Most digital photographs come out flat, dark, and under or oversaturated. Film, on the other hand, produces images that are bright, airy, and natural with colour, So you can tell this is used with a digital camera. The poses that her model are posing as is staying straight facing the camera with no expression, making you curious about the photo by looking at them it can show you that there is a story behind that person. The composition is Pattern and textures patterns into her photographs is a good way to create a pleasing composition. The less regular textures are also very pleasing to the eye. There is also centered composition and symmetry which, she has placed the main subject in the center of the frame, the symmetrical scenes are perfect for a centered composition. They look really well in the squared frame. There is also isolating the subject which is blurring the background that might distract the main subject and what you need to focus on in the photo. The images are clean with the foreground sharp and the background blurred so the focus is at the front when using a subject in the shot. The tones in the photo is  dark tones are great for showing the form of an object, the darker areas creates dimension. There is also mid-tones which they’re neutral tones and in the photos show up as medium grey. To me the texture the photos are everywhere especially the landscape photos. The textures are defined by the depth, contrast, and the patterns which all of these photos display.
I love that she has her photos in black & white, showing more shadows and details in the photos giving the textures more contrast. The idea that she creates more than one type of photography and genre is really something i want to explore more into.

WEEK 4
Friday 17th February
I was not in on this day but a documentary was watched which was about Vivian Maier. Learning about knew photographers and knowing how the shots was made.

VIVIAN MAIER
Vivian Dorothy Maier was an American street photographer. Her work was not discovered until she passed away. Her work is now a subject books and documentary films, including the film Finding Vivian Maier (2013), which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festivaland was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature at the 87th Academy AwardsShe used a medium format camera, taking photos at the location with natural lighting based off candid and permission photos of people. She uses a film camera in the image, most of her photographs taken in the 1980s and 1990s were colour transparencies, taken was usually on Ektachrome Kodak film. The models in the shot was candid taken shots, so the surprise of a camera shows their natural state and reaction which is what makes the photos even better. The composition that are in her photos is black and white photography often allows us to focus on the textures, light, shadows, and shapes in the frame. Another, would be filling the frame with your subject, leaving little or no space around it can be very effective in certain situations. It helps focus the viewer completely on the main subject without any distractions. The rule of odds rule suggests that an image is more visually appealing if there are an odd number of subjects. An odd number of elements is seen as more natural and easier on the eye. She also completely ignored the rule of odds. and has two people, attention may shift back and forth between.
The tones in the photo is much more neutral it is rich, and vivid. There are no edits to these photos because it is from a film camera, a film camera if you make a mistake taking the photo you can not change it because it can't be edited. The image is a high contrast image with both crushed black and blown out highlights. In portrait photography, you can use textures to add more depth, vibrance, and contrast to a face. Human textures include hair, wrinkles, and freckles. She also use textures to enhance a portrait background in some of her photos, which add much-needed contrast.
The photos that i have picked reminiscent of what those eras was like in America based off what they did, and what was worn. There are many famous 20th-century photographers like, Barbara Kruger, Lee Friedlander and yet have an aesthetic of their own.

WEEK 5
Friday 24th February
This week, i was informing our tutors about what the plans are for our shoots and when are they going to be done. This session will literate the importance of shooting etiquette on location and the correct business literature to achieve this. Lecture on the use of flash in editorials and an update lecture on how to shoot with property release forms.
LIGHT DIAGRAM
PHOTOSHOOT 25/03 - LANSCAPE & PORTRAIT ON LANDSCAPE
To take these i went to Northern Ireland for 1 night and 2 days, in these locations that are shown above. This is my contact sheet showing all of the photos that were taken while at the shoot. This is where i'm going to be selecting my photos of choice for the end of the unit as some of the final shots. The camera that was used was a canon M50 mark II with a 15-45mm lens. Below also shows edits of what i did to the photos and how i did it.
EDITING
Today, i went to around Northern Ireland and created both the landscape and the portrait on landscaped assignment. These show the editing that i did on the photos which was not a lot, but i brightened some of the exposures and added more contrast to them giving more expression.
WEEK 6
Friday 3rd March
Today, we did a workshop on flash in both editorial and fashion work on location. The session was off campus, where we was in a professional shoot location. I took photos from behind the scenes and where we was located at, taking images of different parts of where we was going to take the photos at.
BEHIND THE SCENE
Today, i went to one of our tutor photography shoot at one of their locations, which was on a boat. Above shows behind the scene of what was happening as well as videos of where it was.
LIGHT DIAGRAM
EDITING
The edits below show me creating a reflection for one of the photos to have more of a dramatic effect. I wanted to do this because the original photo it is just a window but it was in the best placement to be a mirror. I also dimmed the exposure of the photo to make it look more dark, but it also lets the edit of the mirror blends in more.
Above are the edits i did in the photo and added the reflection in the images.

I chose a range of poses so that I would have a vast selection to choose from for my final outcomes, and so that my images didn't end up being too similar.

Below are a few images that I selected after editing.
WEEK 7
Friday 10th March
Today, we went through directors and watched trailers to movies discussing cross pollination between still photography and film.
We had an assignment to go around and take photos of that includes some composition, whether it was one or more than one. Then after they were shot, it was show to the class and we discussed what composition was included and the tutor broke it down and commented on what was good and, what could have been better.
After this, i had a discussion on what i've done so far and what i am planning on doing in a few weeks.
Dramatic use of flash - things that have strong lining and can have light behind onto, single lighting.

Fill Flash - when doing this shoot i told him what my plan was and that he said to maybe go marble arch because of the streetlights as well as using my flash will give the photos a nice twilight affect.

Flash on location - make sure i show the background, you want to see were you are. Don't go at lunchtime 4pm as it will be very busy when trying to do your shoot.
PHOTOSHOOT 14/03 - DRAMATIC USE OF FLASH
LIGHT DIAGRAM
This is my contact sheet showing all of the photos that were taken while at the shoot. This is where i'm going to be selecting my photos of choice for the end of the unit as some of the final shots. The camera that was used was a canon 5d mark iii, with a light stand and 1 elinchrom 500 ELC. What i liked about these photos is the minimal colour that are in these, they have created really nice outline of my model and the hats she wears.
ESTIMATE & INVOICE
EDITING
Today, i went to the studio and shot my dramatic use of flash. I edited by creating mainly black & white to show more of the effects of the one use of light source which creates this method. These show the editing that i did on the photos which was not a lot, but i brightened some of the exposures. Had the photos have both black & white as well as show the colour of the hat.
I had different props so that I would have a vast selection to choose from for my final outcomes, and so that my images didn't end up being too similar.

Below are a few images that I selected (from the above) after editing. Below also shows a video of what i watched to help with some of my editing in my shoot.
WEEK 8
Friday 17th March
Today, we watched a short film about the photographer Dorothy Bohm and then we talk about CVs and what is included and what not to include. Then later there was one-on-one conversations on what progress i have done.
WEEK 9
Friday 24th March
In todays lesson, we had a guest speaker who spoke about what she does and the work she created. She also spoke about her journey on how she became a successful photographer, and her dream came true.

ELISKA SKY
Eliska Sky is Czech art and art director. The features she has done is British journal of photography, VOGUE ITALY, VOGUE CZECHOSLOVAKIA, Vogue Germany online, vision (china), ELLE CZECH, Dazed digital, I-D ONLINE, HUNGER, Infringe, PYLOT, bbc news, Time Out London, Schon online, Wonderland online, Pigeons&Peacocks, Faint (Au).Representing Cz, Sk, Eastern Europe & USA, Pavleye art & Culture. Her work is both in studio and on location with natural and flash lighting depending on what she is shooting. She uses both film and digital photos which she spoke about. The models that she uses are posed in a particular way to present the abstract fashion, editorial she had in mind, creating a narrative to the photo. The compositions in is Filling the frame with your subject, leaving little or no space around it can be very effective in certain situations. It helps focus the viewer completely on the main subject without any distractions. A very effective way to add a sense of depth to a photograph is to shoot a scene that contains layers of elements at varying distances from your vantage point. These layers can lead the eye through the scene from the foreground, and background. All the photos are clear, showing every part of the photos. The tones that are used is Direction of light, for example backlighting vs side lighting. They have both warm and cool colour tones mixed together in the photos. In the photography, the textures add more depth, contrast to a face. Human textures include hair, wrinkles, and freckles.
What catches my attention from her work is abstract work of it all, it brings more interest in the work. Her work is what i would love to pursue later on when i become a photographer. They all catch my attention and are vocal.

WEEK 10
Friday 31st March
Today, we recapped workshops about fill flash, dramatic is of flash, and lighting long exposure. To make sure that everyone knows how to do the lighting and have different knowledge off. All this shows behind the scenes of what was being done in the studio. Helping people understand the how to set up the lighting for all the topics that was given to us.
PHOTOSHOOT 06/04 - FILL FLASH
This was at Wembley Park by the outlet, since it is a good place to shoot in dark because of the lights that appear at night. This is my contact sheet showing all of the photos that were taken while at the shoot. This is where i'm going to be selecting my photos of choice for the end of the unit as some of the final shots. The camera that was used was a canon M50 with a 15-45mm lens. I like how the photos turned out, creating that lovable couple look. The darkness and the flash makes it better but i showed some of the background in the flash for it to become a fill flash photos. When doing this i did start to get the hang of interacting with new people and creating an atmosphere that is comfortable for everyone to be in. Below also shows edits of what i did to the photos and how i did it.
ESTIMATE & INVOICE
EDITING
When edited i brightened the image because it has a dark background. Added the background in the photos to make sure that it is a fill flash. I did not need to do major changes due to the lighting and the focus of the photos. I used a 15-45mm portrait lens with a speedlight on top of camera. I made sure that they wore matching colours to each other to show that they are a couple.
PHOTOSHOOT 07/04 - FLASH ON LOCATION
BEHIND THE SCENE
This is my contact sheet showing all of the photos that were taken while at the shoot. This is where i'm going to be selecting my photos of choice for the end of the unit as some of the final shots. The camera that was used was a canon M50 with a 15-45mm lens and a speedlight on my camera. What i liked about these photos is the colour of the dress and how it stands out. The location really fits the outfit, i darkened the ISO to make it look more dark so the flash can be more visible. Below also shows edits of what i did to the photos and how i did it.
ESTIMATE & INVOICE
EDITING
The edits that i did for these shots was making what was in the flash shown to make it shine more and that the shadows shows more in the photos since it made it look better with a silhouette. I made the photos look more dark to create an evil queens concept, like in the fairytales.
I chose a range of poses, and props so that I would have a vast selection to choose from for my final outcomes, and so that my images didn't end up being too similar.

Below are a few images that I selected after editing.
SELF REFLECTION
Out of all of the photos i took i chose these to be in the final photo choices because of how they turned out. The lighting on in all photos are good whether they included flash or natural lighting, i made sure they i checked the weather for those days i shot. Out of all the photos i took i think these are the best ones with just a little bit of editing making them look more professional and clean. I like how some are simplistic and others have a lot going on but thats what makes them good. Some parts was a little challenge due to working around everyones schedules. I would not mind doing some of these again but in another way, i would like to be able to travel more and find knew places to take amazing photos.
