VI-NRI
Gerald D. Hine College of Architecture Project
In the case of the Visitor’s Center, Visitors are meant to have a isolated view(of the existing mansion) and controlled environment while walking along the water feature. Once they reach the end, The space opens up to the rest of the campus with the mansion being the center of focus. This feeling is similar to that of walking through cave and then having a view from on top a mountain.

They are also meant to flow through the campus similar to the way a river flows down a mountain. Usually, a stream comes from ice that has melted from a mountain top, then it flows to a river and continues to a lake or pond. As the visitors progress through the campus, this same feeling is evendent.

These to main concepts also apply to that of the Visitor’s Center. The visitors begin at the top of the "Mountain " and proceed to the "lake"
