In the winter of 2022, the Museum of Modern Art in New York honored Guillermo del Toro's career by developing the exhibition 'Crafting Pinocchio' as part of the activities to promote the new film 'Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio'.
During the opening week, the museum launched the exhibition along with film screenings, two of which included introductory remarks from the Mexican director.
As part of a second exhibition, a collection of posters showcasing Guillermo del Toro's filmography adorned the walls of The Debra and Leon Black Family Film Center, providing visitors with a visual journey through the acclaimed director's cinematic creations. From 'Pan's Labyrinth' to 'The Shape of Water' each poster highlighted a different facet of del Toro's unique storytelling and visual style, offering a glimpse into the rich tapestry of his cinematic universe.
