Located on the ground floor within headquarter of a metal company, the space is designed as a showroom where the metal ingots and accessories sold by the company are exhibited. Besides the space is used as the building's foyer, reception, and meeting area. Designed to integrate all these functions fluently, the platform with curvilinear form accompanies the visitors from the reception area on the entrance side to the foyer, exhibition, and meeting functions.
Heavy metal ingots, which the company sells, are difficult-to-transport products that are generally used to be seen in factory areas as raw materials. In the old headquarter of the company, miniatures of the ingots were using during the sale. Our customer requested just a reception and meeting space on the ground floor of the new headquarter. After our suggestion that the original metal ingots can be exhibited in an unordinary way, it was necessary to create a solid platform at a suitable height, on which these heavy products could be placed. While the products were being exhibited, a simple, fresh, dynamic, and holistic setup that allows other functions was aimed.

Based upon the physical conditions of the space, which can be defined as the high galleries at both ends of the space and the volume with a very low storey height between these two galleries, meeting and reception functions were located in these two high galleries. The volume above the platform, which defines the space by repeating similarly the platform's projection on the ceiling, also supplies an area for the mechanical requirements in this very low storey height. Positioned in front of the façade in order to benefit from the daylight and bring a limit to the relationship of the space with the outside area, the plant areas provide integrity with the platform. A small material palette was used for focusing on the products on the platform easily.
