While working with the package design it often becomes necessary to place a product image on the front of the package. But sometimes the appearance of the product itself hinders the design. The product may have visual imperfections (dull color, incorrect shape, surface cracks, ugly filling) that occur during its production, transportation, or storage. Neither professional photography nor retouching can improve the appearance of a product. So what to do if you need to show the product on the package but it looks not so good?

There are several ways to solve this problem. The first is the creation of food models and this method is the most expensive and most difficult. The advantage of this work is a real object that looks more attractive than the product itself. But there are also serious disadvantages: specialists who make and shoot such models could be found only in large cities of developed countries plus the representatives of small and medium businesses from developing countries can’t afford the cost of such work.

The second way is to create a 3D model. The result often looks much more attractive than a real product or even a food model. But this method is also quite expensive. There are no more than 100 specialists in the world professionally making 3D food models. And certainly, no 3D designer will also design the packaging itself. Therefore this option will remain inaccessible to small businesses.

And the third option is the way I use it. As a professional artist, I can draw in a photorealistic style. In this project, I’d like to share some of my photorealistic works.
