Overview
WDPS is a data protection company that advices on GDPR regulations and data law.

In order to present their services in the best possible way WDPS needed a full redesign of their old website.

The website was not user friendly or set up for responsiveness across different devices.
Information was a bit confusing and they needed a standardisation of brand and elements. There was also a need for additional functionality such as interactions to turn what can often be a dry topic into something engaging.

Client

WDPS is a leading data protection provider based in London. With their knowledge expanding over 20 years they are able to offer a wider range of services that cover several industries.

My role

My role in this project includes creating and then designing all visual elements and new identity as well as producing a standardisation through a new design system.

Personas

Once we'd spoken to the client about their requirements we started by producing a list of people most likely to use the site. It's from this understanding that we were then able to tailer our approach and focus on what people need the most.

From the above we came away with FOUR objectives:

After defining the personas we produced a new sitemap, starting with a breakdown of their existing pages then reorganising them into a more formulaic approach.

Once we’d defined the key perimeters we went into wireframe design. Asking ourselves the key questions below.
1. Make it more accessible to a broad range of companies
2. Standardisation of site
3. Reach a wider audience

UI design

After the wireframes I turned my attention to creating the UI designs and adding the colours, icons and interactions that would become part of the design system.

Design System

During the design process care was taken to ensure element uniformity so that they could easily be used in the development phase and later brand evolution.
