I painted this in an art camp organised by the Salar Jung Museum of hyderabad. The theme was "Mera bharat mahan", which means " My great India". 

So I chose to depict the sacrifice every Indian soldier makes to protect the country and the greatness of every Indian mother to let their sons into the service of the country in the form of Abanindranath's iconic "Bharat Mata".
