Irish Magic Discord Server
The Irish Magic Discord is a small community for people to come together and play and discuss Magic the Gathering in Ireland. They had a community but now needed a visual identity! I worked closely with the creator of this space to provide them with one.
We drew from textural artists like Rebecca Guay, Harry Clarke and Gustav Klimt while trying to keep the identity Irish.
The Lotus became the central symbol of the project as it is in Magic the Gathering. The Celtic knot is central to Irish design and culture and so a Celtic Lotus was created for the project.
Taking and reusing design elements from the piece and reappropriating them into mandala like patterns was the next step in creating pieces for this group. They wanted printable assets for card game accessories.
