Bill of Rights for participating Reddit/Discord groups!

This is my Reddit/Discord bill of rights, valid across all subreddits and servers moderated by me. By linking to these from Reddit or Discord, you are agreeing they apply to the corresponding places this is linked to from.

1. Either three or four chances should be given to someone before they are banned; three is standard, but four is an even number. A violation will not count towards these three or four chances if it was caused by a miscommunication of a rule. Relevantly, there are no unwritten rules.
2. If someone is banned, a reason should always be given to the banned person on why they're banned.
3. Should a reason to why someone was banned be lost to history, or should there be a change in management or lapse in mod judgment at the time, it will be reversed.
4. Whenever someone is banned, so as to prevent deception, they will be asked if they want it publicly known or not that they were banned.
5. We should never crossban, or ban a user for doing something on a banned user's behalf (if it follows rules). It's against site guidelines and technically an act of war.
6. We should never treat an act of indifference/neutrality/inaction as equal to an active act of defiance.
7. If said punishment is considered complete and fulfilled, those who have been delivered punishment are a protected class, and any regular individual using their own powers, including societal pressures such as shame, to add to them will be punished.
8. No ban should ever be permanent. Nobody is worthy of eternity, hence whatever post that might've linked to this one.
9. Collective punishment is inherently wrong. We should never judge someone for the actions of others. You'll be banned only for what you're responsible for.
0. Mods must honor the same rules as regular people or else be removed all the same; if one is removed, one of the regulars they would've encountered will take their place, based on merit.
