False Ecstasy - Music Video Assignment
False Ecstasy is a music video assignment we were given back when I was studying BSc Multimedia, DCU, 2015-2018. I directed, shot and edited the footage myself, using my Sony a7 camera and then importing and editing everything in Adobe Premiere Pro.
The underlying theme deals with escapism and young addiction, and I purposefully recorded it with grittier, shakier footage in the hopes it would add to the eerie darkness of the central themes of the music video. I also implemented some simple visual effects and overlays to add elements of disorientation and unease, while also using colour to guide the story.
