For this project, I created a billboard advertisement for the theoretical company, Mars 1. The advertisement was designed to promote the agricultural development taking place on Mars by Mars 1. I wanted to create an image that invoked feelings of looking at our present as if it were the past. To do this, I created an image of a futuristic city on Mars with the view of our old world behind it. This gives the illusion of being in a new and improved life from your old one. I also used different shades of blues and purples along with the reds rather than just reds and oranges. This helped to create an image that was recognizable as Mars, but more futuristic and less stereotypical.
