Background: A healthy planet needs healthy oceans. Yet, each year more than 9 million tons of plastic trash flows in to the ocean and endangers marine life.
Concept: For World Oceans Day, we created an interactive story to visually depict how plastic is destroying life in the oceans. Instagram's native feature also allowed users to tap and return to the previous story. This showed that we can reverse the process and protect life by removing the plastic.
Finally, we asked users to take the #PlanetOrPlastic pledge on #WorldOceansDay.
