I started off wanting to do a more dynamic character, I chose the unicorn puppet; it was able to do head turns. I was planning to do a cat humanoid type thing, but for the sake of time I changed my mind and continued to use a more simple puppet like Chole.
I was now making a tiny rick puppet because I thought it would be cool.
Here's the completed look of my puppet
This was the original background I was going to use in the project but mis-read that we needed to create our own backgrounds, so I used it as inspo for my own background
I came up with this, and was going to have rick be on the dance pad, and the portal below on the back wall top left; the portal would then grow and rick would be in the portal
I had trouble rigging the coat (its apparent in the video) couldn't figure it out so it messes with the legs at time. I finally finished the audio and the animation and then exported to after effects.
In after effects I finished my editing and touched up the audio (when I did my speaking part it was too low in comparison to the other audio), and in the end my story resulted with rick being stuck dancing and getting sucked into the portal, he's then taken to a video where there's lions behind him and he's asking for help (in my voice). I like how it came out but I do think if I had more time I would try to figure out the lab coat rigging to make it flow better.
