Habitat for Humanity Conceptual Series

This project was an exercise in conceptual advertising, using Habitat for Humanity as a mock client. For this project, I was challenged to create a series of magazine advertisements that would bring awareness to Habitat for Humanity.
I chose to use contrast of condition for this advertisement. By placing colorful, crayon drawing of dream jobs over the black and white photos of underprivileged children, viewers are drawn to the underlying message. This design doesn't specifically ask more donations or volunteers; however, by its nature, viewers are compelled to offer help.
Each of the posters utilizes a unique photo of a child in need of help, with their dream career colored over them. The background features a crumpled paper texture to highlight the depravity of their current situation. The designs all also utilize Habitat's brand fonts and colors.
Before designing this project, I researched conceptual advertisements and the Habitat for Humanity. This document contains my research, proposal, and design phases for the project.
