For this project, the objective was to redesign an existing subway map and corresponding signage. This included transit stops, app design, subway cards, and paper pamphlets. In order to create visual interest, icons were included to highlight local landmarks. The map was built on a grid system with each icon corresponding to specific grid intersections.  

 I chose to redesign the Boston "T" (Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority). The original map has a square design which I chose to keep. I felt that this shape would work well with the map's overall layout. However, instead of utilizing with traditional colors, I chose a more modern color scheme. The lines followed the grid system in order to create a visual balance throughout the map. The colors used in the transport lines simultaneously function as a design element which carries out in the subway card, app, and pamphlet.
