As always, I started by writing down everything that needed to be in the graphic to refer to as I sketched. Since Adobe encouraged creative freedom, I decided to go with something I always wanted to design — nature!
Here's what I included in my proposal:
"Nature is one of my primary sources of inspiration, motivation, and growth. I realized these aspects go hand-in-hand with what Adobe MAX has to offer. This straightforward concept signifies growth— where else to look for other than in nature?"

As I sketched, I mapped out how each element would animate:
"The animation will feature subtle movements in the leaves and plants as if caught in a light breeze. Some of the flowers will periodically bloom and close. The little creatures would make some movements from time to time as well."

Finally, for the colours— I chose several individual swatches from one of the 3 gradients Adobe provided.
