This project was a challenge to me but I enjoyed it and I am very happy with the final project. I took the story Cat and Mouse in Partnership by Brothers' Grimm. The story is about a cat and mouse who become friends and keep house together, although the cat betrays the mouse multiple times, and the mouse learns at the end that rampant greed is everywhere, even in some of your closest friends. I told the story through illustrations and typography in the 8 page digital broadsheet publication.

In the pictures above you can see my inspiration and how I started to format my story. I wanted my text to have perspective which you can see on the cover, and then I wanted the spreads to connect between each page, which is displayed on each spread of the broadsheet.

I decided to print the broadsheet publication as a mini zine as it is geared a little more towards a younger audience. I envision it as a coloring book for kids that also teaches them to "share, but beware."
