UNMASKED is an experimental dance short directed by Matilde Longoni.
How many times have we felt on the verge of diverging from the desire to belong, to return to the norm that the foundations of society require us to be?
And then we prostitute ourselves, we conform to the idea of how an individual should be: in the way we act, in the way we interact with people and in the way we think and see the world and ourselves.

We live wearing masks pretending to be someone that we are not.
My project shows the inner conflict that individuals experience internally in wanting to be themselves in an environment that does not allow it, where we label a non-conformed person as "different" and "strange".
The conflict between individuals and society is represented through this performance.
