'Chubbies' is a clay-animated movie that narrates the story of Ms. Chubby and Chubby the cat. Throughout the film, they express how important it is to be with people who appreciate you for who you are.
Miss Chubby has spent her life striving to be perfect. She constantly compared herself to other girls with ideal figures. She would always get affected by the opinions of body shamers. No one would be friends with her because of her appearance. As a result, her mental health was affected. She needed someone who would accept her as she was. That's when Miss Chubby met someone like herself, and that was Chubby the cat. Miss Chubby found her weeping under the bench. Just like Miss Chubby, she faced rejection because of her appearance. As soon as they met, they knew what they were going through. They accepted one another as they were. And they are best friends who have been supporting one another ever since.
As this was a group project, my team and I decided to make full use of this medium and spread an important message through this movie. We shared the tasks, and I was responsible for the set design and capturing the stop-motion animation.
