Our hometown colors are Red and White. Red is known for catching attention faster than other colors. That's why fire trucks and warning signs are red. The White text on the black background really offered the contrast I was aiming for and the red was the perfect amount of pop!
As I was designing I thought "He's definitely going to need a website!"
So here I went to Figma and started prototyping. Simple strait forward design is what I went for, with only having a few seconds to get a first impression, I decided to keep my text minimal, no-one wants to be overwhelmed by text.
