The pansy, a popular decorative flower seen by the side of the road in Europe and a particularly romantic flower in France, served as the inspiration for this piece, which was made as a gift for my best friend in Sydney and signifies I miss you, please think of me too.
Five pieces of bicolored copper that I welded together and tapped on the edges to produce various curves to imitate the free-growing of the petals make up the entire artwork. The piece can be worn as a brooch or as decoration. The stamens are composed of five wires, each of which is twisted into the letter Sissi, the name of my friend.
