Ethnographic Research- Different sectors of Uniforms

Design Research and Ethnography on Different Sectors of Uniforms
Ethnographic research involves qualitative methods where researchers observe and engage with participants in their natural environment. Data collection focused on various uniform sectors, starting with scouting activities in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Analyses involved different stakeholders within these sectors, followed by conducted interviews.
After gathering sufficient data, insights emerged, shedding light on cause-and-effect relationships within specific contexts.

These insights helped clarify observations and identify potential opportunities, leading to the shortlisting of Field of Opportunities (FOO). From there, diverse personas were created, along with 'How Might We' questions. Ultimately, the process culminated in the development of a comprehensive business model canvas.
Areas Of Scouting
It refers to the exploration and investigation phase within the user experience (UX) design process. It involves understanding the users, their behaviors, needs, and preferences within a specific context or domain, akin to scouting an area to gather information before starting the design process.
Stakeholders Map
A stakeholders map visually depicts the key individuals or entities involved in a project, illustrating their connections, interests, and influence levels in the project's context. This was followed by the preparation of research guides and conducting interviews.
Insights
Insights were derived from interviews.
Field Of Opportunity
A few rough diagrams were created for better understanding, followed by the identification of Field of Opportunities (FOO).
Shortlisted FOO (Field Of Opportunity)
Followed by the shortlisting of FOO, which was then bifurcated.
Building Personas
Personas were developed, and three primary 'How Might We' questions were formulated.
Business Model Canvas
In UI/UX, the business model canvas outlines product/service aspects like value propositions, customer segments, and revenue streams, guiding design decisions aligned with business strategy.
My Learnings
Our ethnographic research in uniform sectors was diverse, honing communication skills, developing personas, and uncovering stakeholders' needs. 'How might we' questions sparked innovative solutions, while the business model canvas mapped strategies for tailored, impactful solutions across various sectors. Overall, it was a fun learning experience, enriched with interactive sessions throughout.
