Multiplicity Final- Art Direction.

The three images below show different shots of my youngest brother which I have put together in the final image using the special effect- Multiplicity. I had him wear different shirts in each photo to give the appearance of different people as this is something that I didnt do in my test shots. I also wanted to have him interacting with his surroundings and his other selfs as again, this is something I didnt do in the test shots as I just had the subject sitting in different positions looking straight at the camera. This gives it a more natural feeling. I was also careful to include the reflections of him in the table in the final image, as this could have been easily missed.
Model

Technical Considerations

Pre-production Test
As Multiplicity photography was something that I had never done before, I did several practice shoots before hand which I have uploaded previous to this post. This gave me the oppurtunity to get used to a new style of working and perfecting it as best as I can before doing my final shoot.

Lights
One main source of light came from behind me with the camera aimed down at the subject, with several smaller lights on around the room for a natural environment glow.

Camera
Sony Alpha A290
Tripod

Action
The shoot itself took around 20 minutes including set up time, then putting the images together in photoshop took another 30 minutes overall. Several different photos were taken, and then I picked the best three to merge together.
