Hiscox Partnerships' corporate logo and business card

Client: Hiscox Partnerships LLC.

Project: Create a corporate logo and business cards.

Challenge: The challenge was to create a logo representing the company and owner’s background.

Solution: Our client, the owner of Hiscox Partnerships, is of Scottish heritage, and he expressed his desire for us to include elements that reflect the fortitude and fighting qualities of their heritage -- the sheer resilience associated with Scots. We loved getting the opportunity to work on this. Through a simple yet effective display of iconography, we incorporated a shield looking like a coat of arms in the design, with the letter “H” designed to look like a castle tower. The colors, black and gold, further built on the ideas, representing a strong company image and staying true to the owner’s Scottish heritage. We took a minimalist approach on the front for the business card, displaying the client’s name and company information juxtaposed with the logo design. The gold color used is the same throughout the card. The company logo was repeated across it in a slightly darker shade of the same color. We used the Minion Variable Concept font in gold for the text “Robert D. Hiscox” and “Hiscox Partnerships LLC,” complemented by the Bai Jamjuree font for the owner’s designation, address, and contact information in dark gray. The two fonts and colors worked perfectly to give the card a complete and professional look while aligning with the theme.

Result: We achieved complete client satisfaction. They loved how we conveyed the fighting spirit and winning attitude associated with their heritage.
