Diecast branding
Diecast is both a category of collectible vehicle models and a brand that sells them online. I was asked initially to create an e-commerce website for the brand and ended up making a complete identity proposal.
The competitors in the category lacked a professional look and feel and couldn't be quite differentiated from each other, so this was an advantageous departing point for Diecast to have a professional-looking and well-defined identity.

The brand's main value is to bring people an opportunity to express themselves by building a personal collection, while bringing back memories and nostalgia. The personality is modern while constantly referencing elements of the past.
The logo was built like a vintage art deco car emblem with an open, lightning hand as a symbol of creativity and self expression. The color palette was meant to convey both sobriety and energy, contrasting pale and dark tones with bright and vibrant colors.
Over the years, diecast models have become more and more realistic. We wanted to acknowledge this by replicating the photographic style of real vehicles. For special editions the brand would keep and build upon the vintage box designs.
We conceived a website that is visually powerful and fresh while providing users with a fast and simple experience where they can easily browse categories, get surprised by new items and learn about the hobby.
