ATELIER100 MAP OF LONDON
Atelier100 is a design incubator and shop located in Hammersmith, London, that brings together creative makers and manufacturers within a 100km radius of central London.
I got the opportunity to collaborate with Courier media on a poster map of London for Atelier100. Atelier100 being brought to life by H&M and Ingka Group (the world’s largest IKEA franchisee) and featuring talented creatives, the map had to have high creative standards while showcasing the designers’ products and which borough in London they originated from.
We decided to make a graphic and visual map, a nod to classic street cartography with a twist. We used a grayscale base map with a neon accent color to highlight the main roads and added the products pictures as cutouts with neon outlines.
This is quite different from what I usually share but the printed result is just incredible! I wish pictures could show how flashy that neon Pantone is!
Along with the large poster map I created 2 extra maps, one showing the 100km radius around London that’s on the front of the poster, and a small Hammersmith map showing the location of Atelier100 related to a few points of interests in Hammersmith.
