Brief:

An established defense contractor and their esteemed and trusted co-contractors were approached by an elusive, yet anonymous billionaire industrialist about a very curious project.
He was not present at the scoping meeting with the contract partners in order to retain his anonymity, however, he had a consigliere who was very knowledgeable and very well-spoken about what his client wanted. He is adamant about keeping this project absolutely top-secret.
The nature of the project baffled the defense contractor, as it is out of the realm of the typical types of programs they are used to, yet somehow still adjacent. They know the materials and gear needed for this project but are at a severe loss from a creative standpoint on how to apply these things to create what the client's consigliere described as a cornerstone to the client's arsenal of gadgets and weaponry. The consigliere also described the client as a bit of a connoisseur of weaponry, technology, and gadgets which he has extremely high expectations.
We have been added to the list of esteemed co-contractors because we are fairly small but highly effective from a creative standpoint which allows us to be under the radar and still deliver high-level results. The contractors who approached us about this opportunity are optimistic about our input, but anxious about the client's constraints.
Simply put, the client needs a boat. Now based on the request being proposed to defense contractors and advanced material research labs, you can guess it's not just any sort of run-of-the-mill fishing or ski vessel, and it sure isn't a yacht.
This boat is to take advantage of bleeding-edge technologies, in order to deliver extreme performance for a myriad of tasks, ranging from precision tactical stealth missions to rapid rescue and evasion, to full-frontal assaults on waterfront compounds. This boat not only has to be versatile in function, but also in style. This client has a discerning eye for aesthetics, having access to the best of the best of all things. He also is quite well-versed in history as well. To say he is an arbiter of design would still be an understatement.
Also, the consigliere did mention one specific point of reference. Our mysterious client also has a penchant for bats and would like the design of this nautical precision instrument to reflect his passion for the winged predators of the night.
