Цей проект був створений тому що від неможливості малювати в перший місяць великої війни, я стала вирізати ліногравюри. Перші два дні були такими хаотичними і емоційними, що я й подумати не могла про малювання, але потім саме ліногравюра врятувала мене своєю нерівністю, нервовістю, чорним кольором.

Може я б і не стала ніколи вирізати ліногравюри, якби не єдине бажання – якось подякувати нашим ЗСУ. Ми всі відчували в ті дні, що сильна рука ЗСУ тримає щит над Україною.

This project was created because I could not draw in the first month of the great war, so I began to cut linocuts. The first two days were so chaotic and emotional that I couldn't even think about drawing, but then it was linocut that saved me with its unevenness, nervousness, black color.

Maybe I would never have started to cut linocuts, if it were not for the only desire - to somehow thank our Armed Forces. We all felt in those days that the strong hand of the Ukrainian Armed Forces held a shield over Ukraine.

Це була перша ліногравюра, я її вирізала заново три рази - кожен раз схиблювала то з дзеркальним відображенням, то з буквами

This was the first linocut, I cut it anew three times - each time I faltered with the mirror image, then with the letters

Зробила з дюжину відбитків на різних основах

Made a dozen prints on different bases

І в результаті обрала чорно-білий варіант.

And as a result, I chose the black and white version.

По справжньому чорно-білих ліногравюр в книжці три: одна присвячена нашим ЗСУ, друга – звернення до російських матерів, і третя – чинний президент. Також в книжці є кольорові ліногравюри: про наші тероборони, про диявола, про українських людей під завалами, про зброю в наших руках.
There are actually three black-and-white linocuts in the book: one is dedicated to our Armed Forces, the second is an address to Russian mothers, and the third is the current president. The book also contains colored linocuts: about our territorial defence, about the devil, about Ukrainian people under rubble, about weapons in our hands.

Решта ліногравюр зроблені в сепії. Я пробувала інші кольори, але вони мені не зайшли.

The rest of the linocuts are made in sepia. I tried other colors, but they didn't suit me.

Спочатку я роблю ескіз того що буду вирізати

First, I make a sketch of what I will cut

Потім переношу ескіз на лінолеум, і по ньому вирізаю

Then I transfer the sketch to the linoleum, and cut on it

Потім наношу на вирізану основу фарбу, і роблю відбиток

Then I apply paint to the cut base and make a print

Для обкладинки я вирізала особливу велику ліногравюрну картину на форматі А3. Кожну окрему історію я малювала окремо, але вирізала потім в повний розмір.

For the cover, I cut a special large linocut picture on A3 format. I drew each individual story separately, but then cut it out in full size.
