During the Fall 2013 quarter, Hewlett-Packard came to SCAD with the desire for a group of students to find unique ways to use and promote their augmented reality application, Aurasma. As a class we worked in four groups, each with a different local business to promote the use of Aurasma around Savannah.

Using the HP Aurasma app, we created an apocalyptic zombie event to raise awareness for an urban supply company called ELEV8ED. The goal of the campaign was to bridge the world of print and digital through the use of Aurasma. We created all “live” printed content that could be scanned with the app and would turn into digital entertainment.

Our final deliverables covered a wide range of material, including flyers, survival booklets, picketting/warning signage, old-style news reels and PSAs, and the creation of a bunker-like environment in the store.
