Clifton Troll Bridge

To mark the launch of Taxi Studio’s new identity, brand positioning (fearless creativity) and website, we wanted to create a visual spectacle that had the potential to go viral.

Brunel’s world-famous Clifton Suspension Bridge is a stone’s throw from our studio. It also became the canvas for our ‘sort-of-illegal’ Halloween stunt. A small crowd was invited to witness our transformation of the toll bridge into the ‘Troll Bridge’ – followed, soon after, by 25,500+ hits on YouTube (in over 100 countries), a quarter of a million people via the evening TV news and countless hoards on Twitter.
My role for the project:

• Taking on the role of the goat as the troublemaking star of the event’s trailer
• Creating the event trailer with no previous background of video editing
• Working overnight to oversee a fantastic edit of the launch night, undertaken by Jon Mowat of Hurricane Media, ready for the following morning’s YouTube release
• Assisting in the final case study film, creating the infographics and helping oversee the edit
• Ensuring our CCO’s vision for ‘Clifton Troll Bridge’ was carried throughout the project.
