Assignment Description
Choose your favourite mythological creature or figure from a fable of your childhood that intrigued you. You will be telling us about this fable in class through your illustration. Choose the main character and a key scene from the fable to illustrate. Draw this scene from your favourite fable using a non-realistic or super-stylized illustration technique similar to the one you use from analog design. Basically, it should not look like a photo-realistic rendering. Style wise it should contain flat graphic elements, line art, and colours or gradients. No part can be pixel based artwork or live traced. It all has to be done using vectors. You can have accessories, background elements, or draw your character in an environment from the fable. Be sure to consider the illustration as a whole, including the background and composition.

Nüwa
Nüwa, also read Nügua, is the mother goddess of Chinese mythology. She is credited with creating humanity and repairing the Pillar of Heaven.As creator of mankind, she molded humans individually by hand with yellow clay.In the Huainanzi, there is described a great battle between deities that broke the pillars supporting Heaven and caused great devastation. There was great flooding, and Heaven had collapsed. Nüwa was the one who patched the holes in Heaven with five colored stones, and she used the legs of a tortoise to mend the pillars
