Acid dyes and free motion quilting on silk and cotton. These quilts were inspired by a visit to SCAD's painting open studio along with the feelings inspired by different weather. After seeing so many beautiful works, I had an intense longing to create a painting that becomes usable and integrated with everyday life as a textile. The paint strokes capture the feeling of standing in the wind, in a heavy rain, and among the wildflowers.
