This example focuses on promoting the benefit of local foods by changing the urban landscape to remind people of where their food comes from.
The project involved the hanging of apples from trees in the urban environment. Each apple has a fact attached to it explaining the various benefits of locally grown produce.
The project made for an interactive and non-traditional approach to communication. Passersby would see the apples and investigate on their own in order to figure out what exactly was going on without any outside influence making for a more rewarding experience.
The end result was all contained in a brochure outlining the project and local foods as a whole, giving it a level of transparency that wouldn’t usually exist in an informational brochure.
