This design exercise was all about making font choices — how to select typefaces that communicate through their aesthetics, and how to combine them with other typefaces to achieve tone, hierarchy, and contrast. The first step was to select and organize my font choices to then continue with the design process.

This was inspired by 4/20 which is celebrated on the same week as Earth Day, using elements such as roots and soil.
This is a futuristic take on Earth Day inspired by Battlestar Galactica focused on Global Warming.
“The ocean is essential for all aspects of human well-being and livelihood. It provides key services like climate regulation, through the energy budget, carbon cycle and nutrient cycle. The ocean is the home of biodiversity ranging from microbes to marine mammals that form a wide variety of ecosystems in open pelagic and coastal ocean.”
This composition was inspired by the plastic pollution. The intention on this design was to use the plastic bags and jellyfish in the ocean to create awareness about this crisis and the direct and deadly effect on wildlife.

The challenge was to think and combine music with sounds effects on Adobe Audition to enhance visuals to communicate the event Earth Day.
Earth Day
First, I had to create a typographic composition in Adobe InDesign. The second step was to record a voice over track in Adobe Audition. The third step was to create a new Adobe After Effects composition to animate the text.
The compositions were created on Photoshop for the Earth Day event. By combining the Photoshop file with a voice over added on Adobe Audition and adding sound, motion, and text animation on Adobe After effects, to bring many of the effects and techniques to make an interesting and dynamic video on Adobe Premiere Pro that communicate the event.
