Lime is a student created animated short I was lucky enough to be a part of my senior year at SCAD. Under the direction of Sean Carrow I fully realized this character and brought him to life through texturing and surfacing.
Burt has been one of my favorite characters to bring to life so far! The final film is currently unavailable, but will be shown here as soon as it becomes public.
Note: Unfortunately the octopus tentacle was cut from the final film, but I was responsible for that as well.

Textured in Mari:
I was given free range on the textures, and using Mari for this project was a huge advantage. I was able to texture each object separately, but also work on them in context of the entire character. The hair and beard for Burt was done largely in ZBrush and Photoshop, since I was imitating a certain style and those programs lent themselves nicely to the task.
For shading I worked heavily with Ross Macaluso who is a shading guru when it comes to mental ray! Big thanks for all your help dude.
