The Final project for my MSc User Experience Engineering
The Nested view created by 2Dsearch allows users to create and modify search strategies by dragging and dropping them during the search process of expert searchers quickly and intuitively.
However, this function is limited when importing search strategies created by others. If the imported query string is too complex, the user will still not be able to sort out the logical structure quickly through the Nested view. As expert searchers are more used to using a text format search filter. There is a gap in the search strategy between the Nested view and text format.
This project aims to enhance the connection between Nested view and text format by designing a new tool on the 2Dsearch platform, which will help users to be more productive.
The design process for this new project will contain a systematic analysis and three rounds of prototyping testing and iteration. Building up the foundation for subsequent development work and further research in helping users to understand the logical structure of the complicated search strategy
