Gris
Is one of the villages of Ashmon center, Menoufia governorate, Egypt. It`s one of the oldest and most famous villages. It has been known for making pottery and exporting it to all villages and cities across the Nile River, where one day before the establishment of the Suez canal, it was widely known as an important port on Nile anchored by boats.
Now, it is considered a large pottery workshop where no street or rooftop is free of large quantities of pottery arranged and prepared for sale.
Life there is still in its rudimentary phase, so many people rely on agriculture, livestock breeding, bread making in primitive ovens.
