Berlin. In a small, mobile and soundproof recording studio, which served as a protected meeting place, as a free space to share thoughts, opinions and, last but not least, personal stories, people started talking to each other. They shared their memories of their homeland in Afghanistan and their experiences in exile, mostly in Iran - about everything that touched, shamed, hurt and moved them in their lives. All of these conversations make up the Afghan Memories, in a limited edition in German and Dari, a growing eyewitness archive that provides a multi-layered look at life in a region that no one can describe better than the people who come from there themselves.
