From Growth to Prosperity
‘An Exploration into the Local Impacts of Global Pressures for Urban Growth’ formed the investigation for group work which preceded this project. This project continued the issue of‘Urban Growth’ but with the specific focus on "In what ways can urban design principles assist in developing a synergy between landscape and the current demands for urban growth?"

After research and case study analysis key characteristics of growth and landscape design were concluded to formed the basis for design solutions. Iconic buildings were used as an example of a current urban growth, particularly relevant due to the locally iconic building on the site.

The proposals aimed to incorporate characteristics of landscape design such as water management and food production which are crucial for future urban growth.
