For sketch #3 we were supposed to take on the challenge of capturing wrinkles in our everyday lives. I chose to edit my photos to be black and white because I wanted the texture of each subject to be the main focus. By eliminating color I felt that wrinkles were able to speak for each image and create a sense of seriousness. Image #1 is a photo of my elbow which I felt was a more unique place to showcase wrinkles on the body. The second image I took was of my bed. A bed is an intimate space that one may share alone or with a loved one. I decided to capture half of the bed clean and nearly wrinkle-free as well as the other half where I sleep less straightened. Lastly, image #3 is of the base of a tree I came across on a walk. I thought the tree was an interesting subject to capture and document how wrinkles are shared even in nature.
